Space Interest: Rockets and racing cars are not so different: Both endeavors require speed and teamwork to stay on course, whether talking to mission control or communicating with a pit crew. I’m particularly fascinated by our galaxy, the Milky Way. With its spiral shape and river of stars, it’s not unlike a racecourse and it’s certainly fast – hurtling through space at speeds of around 515,000 mph!

What Excites Me About Space and STEM:
“We’re exploring and discovering more about our universe daily. Thanks to the James Webb Space Telescope, we’ve got a front-seat view of the cosmos. So much of our galaxy remains a mystery, and I’m very interested in the unknown. It’s fun to think about what other beings are out there. Are we the only ones? Is there another Earth out there?”
